About Trout Lake Fair: Celebrating the Fiber Arts

Trout Lake Mudflow is located in Klickitat County, Washington, in the United States. Known for its historical lahars, this area was hit about 6,000 years ago by the largest lahar to occur since the end of the last ice age. This geological phenomenon, which occurred on the slopes of Mount Adams, discharged approximately 66 million cubic meters of mud and rocks, covering an area of more than 16 km² of the White Salmon River valley near Trout Lake.
