About Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts Fiber Faire

Mineral Point Hill is an old mining site and a hill located in Mineral Point, in Iowa County, in the state of Wisconsin, United States. This settlement, founded in the 1830s after the discovery of lead ore in 1825, is the third oldest urban center in Wisconsin. The hill houses the remains of zinc mining, which took place from the beginning of the 20th century until the 1910s. Many Cornish immigrants had settled in the valley, forming the Pendarvis community at the foot of the hill.
