Dear passionate knitters and lovers of wool, the 13th edition of the Llandovery Sheep Festival invites you to join in celebrating tradition and creativity in the heart of Carmarthenshire! From September 19, 2026, come immerse yourself in a festive and friendly atmosphere where traditional music echoes through the air and interactive workshops will teach you the secrets of natural dyeing and spinning. Dive into a rich world of local traditions, where local markets and crafts offer the chance to discover unique treasures. And for the younger ones, specially designed workshops promise moments of discovery and fun. The festival is free, but don’t forget to bring your own materials for some workshops, and come with an insatiable curiosity for the magic of wool and knitting!

About Llandovery Sheep Festival

Llandovery is a small town and community located in the county of Carmarthenshire, in the heart of Wales. Situated on the banks of the Tywi River, this local area is at the intersection of national roads A40 and A483. Approximately 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Carmarthen, 27 miles (43 km) north of Swansea, and 21 miles (34 km) west of Brecon, Llandovery plays an important role in the region due to its strategic geographical location. The town has a population of 2870 inhabitants and does not have any official twin towns.
