Welcome to the fifth edition of the Great Smoky Mountains Fiber Fair, where craftsmanship and tradition come together in a warm and friendly atmosphere. From Friday, April 24 to Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9am to 4pm, the historic grounds of the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center will be alive with demonstrations of knitting and wool techniques, as well as interactive workshops on natural dyeing. Over 30 exhibitors are expected to share their expertise, offering visitors an enriching and unforgettable experience.

About Great Smoky Mountains Fiber Fair
Townsend, located in Blount County in East Tennessee, was chartered in 1921 by individuals associated with the Little River Railroad and Lumber Company. Situated at an altitude of 326 meters, this small town of 448 inhabitants serves as an entry point to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, one of the three “entrance gates” to this national park. Founded in 1901, Townsend offers visitors several museums and attractions that tell the natural and human history of the Great Smokies.
