Knitting and fiber festival — Fibrefest: A Festival of the Fibre Arts in Almonte

Welcome to Fibrefest, the festival of fiber arts celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026. Located in the charming surroundings of Almonte, between the Community Centre and the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, this festival offers a unique atmosphere blending tradition and innovation. You can attend natural dye workshops led by experts, discover an exhibition on identity and memory by Anne Kelly, and admire the creations of spinners, weavers, and textile artists from Ontario and across Canada. From 13:00 to 16:00 on Wednesdays to Sundays, admission is $5 for adults, free for members and children 12 and under. Join us for a day or two at Fibrefest and journey between textile history and art.
