About FÊNO
Place de la République stands at the heart of Caen, in the department of Calvados in Normandy. This square, formerly known as Place Royale until 1882, is a testament to classical urbanism, having been created in the 17th century on the outskirts of the city. Although parts of the square were damaged by bombings during the Battle of Caen, it still retains its historical and architectural value.
